FAQs

Many readers ask me the same things, so I’ve put together this simple FAQ to save you time. It’s clear, helpful, and written the way I’d explain it to a friend.

No filler, no complicated terms, just real answers you can use.

If your question isn’t listed here, feel free to visit the contact page and send me a message. I read every note myself and reply when I can. You’re not talking to an auto-reply system. It’s me on the other end.

1. Who Is This Blog Really For?

This blog is for anyone who wants to get better with money, whether you're just getting started, trying to dig out of debt, or looking to build a smarter financial mindset.

  • Having trouble sticking to a budget without feeling like you're missing out?
  • Want to save more but keep falling off track?
  • Totally overwhelmed by personal finance and all the “adulting” that comes with it?

You're not alone and you're definitely in the right place.

I don’t care if you’ve blown your savings, maxed out your credit cards, or never made a budget in your life. This space is judgment-free. Everything I share comes from real-life experience and lessons I’ve learned (often the hard way) so you don’t have to repeat the same mistakes. Think of this blog as your go-to resource for honest money tips, practical budgeting advice, and motivation to take control of your finances, one step at a time.

2. Do You Offer Personalized Financial Advice?

No, I don’t offer personalized financial advice and I want to be upfront about that. I’m not a certified financial advisor, and I don’t pretend to be one.

What you’ll find here is based on three things:

  • My own experience learning how to manage money
  • Proven habits and strategies that have worked for people I know and trust
  • Hours of real-world research on personal finance topics

But here's the thing, your financial life is personal. What helped me pay off debt or save for emergencies might not be the best path for you. That’s why I always recommend speaking with a licensed financial advisor when it comes to big choices like investing, taxes, or debt consolidation.

Bottom line? I’m here to offer motivation, guidance, and financial education—but I’m not here to manage your money or give one-on-one advice.

3. How Often Do You Post New Content?

I usually publish one or two in-depth posts each month.

This isn’t a mass content site. I focus on quality over quantity, because I know your time is valuable, and I want every post on this blog to actually help you.

If I write about something, it’s either something I’ve experienced firsthand, researched in depth, or genuinely believe can make a difference in your financial journey.

No clickbait. No recycled fluff. Just real, useful content that’s worth reading.

4. Can I Share Your Articles with Others?

Yes, please do! If you find an article here helpful, relatable, or worth passing along, I’d be honored if you shared it.

Here’s the best way to do it:

  • Link directly to the original blog post so people can read it in its full context.
  • Sharing on social media? Go for it. Just include the link so your followers can find the source.
  • Want to reprint the full article in a newsletter, blog, or website? Please email me first. I’m usually happy to say yes, especially if our audiences align but I do like to know where my writing ends up.

Sharing is one of the best compliments, and it truly means a lot when you help more people find this content.

5. How Do You Make Money from This Blog?

Great question and I believe in being upfront about how things work behind the scenes.

Right now, the blog earns a small amount through a few sources:

1. Affiliate Links

Sometimes I recommend books, apps, or tools that I’ve personally used and found helpful. If you decide to click one of those links and make a purchase, I may earn a small commission—at no extra cost to you. It’s one way to support the blog while discovering things that can actually help you manage your money.

2. Sponsored Content

Once in a while, I partner with brands that align with what this blog stands for: helping people build a better relationship with money. When I publish sponsored content, it’s always clearly labeled. You’ll never have to wonder who’s behind a post.

3. Products & Digital Resources (Coming Soon)

I’m currently working on a few things like templates, guides, and digital tools to help you take real action with your finances. Nothing is live yet, but when I do launch something, subscribers and loyal readers will be the first to know.

One thing I’ll never do? Promote something I don’t believe in or wouldn’t use myself. My goal is to earn your trust not just a commission.

6. Why Don’t You Cover Certain Topics?

Great question. If you’re wondering why a particular topic isn’t on the blog, it usually comes down to one of two reasons:

  • I haven’t written about it yet. This blog is always evolving, and since it’s a one-person show, I can’t cover everything at once. If there’s something you’d love to see, feel free to suggest it—I keep a running list based on reader requests.
  • It’s not in my area of expertise. I believe in staying honest about what I know well and what I don’t. If I’m not confident I can give you accurate, helpful insight, I’d rather leave it out than risk sharing half-baked or misleading information. In those cases, I’ll usually point you toward a trusted expert instead.

If there’s a gap you’d like to see filled here, don’t hesitate to reach out. Reader ideas help shape the future of this blog, and I truly appreciate your input.

7. Can I Submit a Guest Post?

Possibly! I’m open to guest contributions but only if they genuinely add value for my readers. Here’s what I’m looking for:

  • Original, high-quality writing (no AI-generated fluff or recycled content)
  • Topics that align with this blog—think money mindset, budgeting, smart habits, personal growth, or practical financial tips
  • Useful, reader-focused content that goes beyond self-promotion or backlink hunting

If that sounds like you, send me a pitch! Use “GUEST POST” in the subject line and include:

  • A short summary of your idea
  • Why you think it’s a good fit for my readers
  • A writing sample (if you’ve got one)

If it’s a good match, I’ll get back to you. If not, no hard feelings—I truly appreciate the effort either way.

8. How Do I Unsubscribe from Your Emails?

No worries, it’s super simple.

Every email I send includes an unsubscribe link right at the bottom. Just click it, and you’ll be removed from the list instantly. No hoops to jump through, no guilt-tripping, and definitely no spam afterward.

I completely understand, email overload is real. If my messages aren’t what you need right now, that’s okay. You can always come back and rejoin later if it feels right.

Your inbox, your choice. Always.
